as we decided to go with the thriller genre we had to come up with a convincing plot and characters for the introduction.

Horror or thriller?

Horror: a horror might prove difficult to seem realistic however locations could be fairly easy such as a forest with a "shrooms" style of horror. If we could make it a convincing horror it would look realy interesting and with good results. However introductions for horrors are usualy quite normal and in some aspect boaring and we dont really want to make a boaring introduction or one that people would mistake as a thriller.

Thriller: a thriller location would also be easy t find as it could be done on the street,in a room or anywhere else we could think of. We also found that a thriller oppening could be easier to achieve as unlike with a horror we dont need to attempt to scare the audiance just create a mysterious setup for the rest of the film.

          Choice: The reason we rejected the idea for a horror is we found it can be hard to make a horror lo convincing and hard to think of a character who could be used in a horror that we have the means to create (we couldnt create the new freddie from nightmare on elmstreet as an example) and we found the characters for a thriller were more realistiic for us as we found with thrillers even the most normal looking person can be evil and out for world domination.

Murder,revenger or physcological thriller?

Murder: could be about a serial killer whose been killing a number of people, the police and detectives later find out all the victims were linked to one important person and try to predict and pan the mans movements, before they know it the killer is infiltrating the detectives operation base and traps them inside.

Revenge: inspiration from films like Die Hard 4.0 after the main characters daughter is kidknapped. insted of kindknaped the main characters vengeful reasons could be behind family members being killed best friends beig killed by people for gains of wealth. Film would follow the character linking the clues to find the killers hideout to a showdown at the end  (high action film)

Physcological: again inspired by another film but this time Phonebooth ,however insted stuck inside a phonebooth the caller is calling more then one person forcing the to perform his ill deeds such as murder, theft or other crimes otherwise he will use blackmail or even kill his victims. However the plot of the film takes a different turn as one of the victim decides to go after the caller.

          Choice? we decided to go with the physcological thriller as the introduction would be easier to stage as the murder would prove difficult to act out convincingly and the revenge might seem a slow start with a lack of anything to hook the viewers. However with the physcological thriller we could start with the caller killing of a ictim before calling the main character so would set the scene and give the audiance information about some of the plot of the sotry line without revealing who the caller is.

Male or Female?

Caller role

Male: quite an evil looking character long hair looks scruffy - resoning behind this is because a scruffy looking character could look like they've been planning thier evil plan for some time (males with long hair gives the impression of either a person who wants to style long hair or a person whos had more important things going on. Long hair + scruffy we would hope would equl the latter outcome of the impression of our male character villain.

Female: a femail character i think would be hard to make a convincing serious evil caller, however i think it could easily be possible if we could find the right actress with a very good authorotive voice and with quite a dominant leader role and personality being displayed in the character. I think the femaile character would have quite straight hair to show unlike the male character type she takes care of herself but also shows she means buisness. Personaly she would wear dark clothing again to show her attitude to buisness and that doesnt take anything from anyone.

victims role

Male: as thier ould be more then one victim in the film the one im depicting is the victim from the introduction as the vitcim wont be seen but heard its all about the voice for this actor. If the actor wa smale he would have to have a scared tone not someone whose confident with themselves and just wants to go about doing thier day to day buisness. However on the other hand a voice which is confident but wary would also work as it would give the impression of an important person the caller has called and then the seriousness of the boffense the caller blackmails him with as he would be confident to try and oppose the caller.

Female: A female voice i think would have to be the same s the male as it could be either a confident or scared role. i would only b e able to decide on confident or scared style of voice when i see who i use as the actor in the filming (or recording as the case may be).

   Choice: we decded to use a male voice and a mail caller as the we could achieve the strong caller role with a scruffy quite insane caller which would make a more interesting introduction and a voice which is undecided of either a confident or scared voice role.
